Piumelli Milano is a trademark of Sapori d'Italia Srl, a company incorporated and operating under Italian law (hereinafter also referred to as "Piumelli Milano" or the "Owner"), which recognizes the importance of the privacy of its website users and is committed to respecting it.

With this privacy policy (hereinafter, the "Privacy Policy") for the website www.piumelli.com (hereinafter the "Site"), Piumelli Milano aims to provide users with information about the data controller, the personal information collected through the Site, the purposes and methods for which such information is processed, the third parties involved in the processing, any transfer abroad, the security measures adopted to protect and safeguard the data collected, and the ways in which users can verify the processing of their data and exercise the rights granted to them by Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 (hereinafter "Legislative Decree 196/2003").

This Privacy Policy has been drafted in accordance with Recommendation No. 2/2001, adopted on May 17, 2001, by the Working Party for the Protection of Personal Data – Article 29, regarding the minimum requirements for online data collection in the European Union. It also provides information to interested parties pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.

Type of personal data collected and processed

Browsing data
When you visit and browse the Site, Piumelli Milano does not generally collect personal data from you, except for so-called browsing data. The technological platform through which the Site is made available to you automatically records certain browsing data—the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols—such as the name of your Internet access provider, the site of origin, pages visited, date and duration of your visit, etc. This information allows you to access the Site and use certain services and may be used anonymously and in aggregate form for statistical purposes and to verify the proper functioning of the Site.

Piumelli Milano does not collect this data to associate it with other user information and subsequently identify users; however, this data, by its very nature, may allow users to be identified following processing and association with other information. Browsing data may therefore be used by Piumelli Milano to determine any liability for cybercrimes committed against or through the Site. Except for this eventuality, the browsing data described above is retained only temporarily in compliance with applicable law.

Data provided voluntarily by the user
Piumelli Milano collects and processes the personal data that the user voluntarily provides when interacting with the features and services of the Site, for example when registering to learn about news from the world of Piumelli Milano and receive newsletters and other commercial communications, as well as to send spontaneous applications as well as when requesting information or sending communications to Piumelli Milano or to request an invoice for purchases made at PIUMELLI stores.
Data acquisition occurs via a data entry form, which the customer voluntarily fills out to request an invoice for their purchases.

In the sections of the Site where the user's personal data is collected, a notice is published pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and specific consent is required to process the data provided in those sections, in accordance with the aforementioned decree.

Purpose of the processing

Piumelli Milano processes user data for the following purposes:

management of registration on the Site and operational management of navigation on the Site;
site security management;
market research and statistical processing;
fulfillment of legal and regulatory obligations;
exercise of rights in court.
Furthermore, having obtained the user's consent, the Data Controller may process the data for the purposes of defining individual and group profiles (profiling activities) as well as for marketing purposes, such as communicating, via newsletters, email, text messages, information and/or updates on Piumelli Milano products, as well as on initiatives or events organized by Piumelli Milano and other companies belonging to the Piumelli Milano group, including any invitations to said initiatives or events.

The user can, however, object to the sending of promotional emails (newsletters) at any time: for each communication, the methods for objecting to the processing and not receiving further emails will be explained.

Nature of the transfer

With the exception of navigation data (automatically collected by the system), the provision of data by the user for the purposes indicated above is optional. Failure to provide data for marketing purposes will not affect your ability to access the features offered by the Site, except for the inability to use services strictly related to registration. Failure to provide data for profiling purposes will not affect your ability to access the features offered by the Site.

Treatment methods

The user's personal data is processed using computerized and telematic methods, primarily by electronic and automated means and, limited to certain operations, by paper means.

In compliance with Legislative Decree 196/2003, specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use, and unauthorized access.
