MANAGING COOKIES

Extended cookie policy

This website uses technical cookies to ensure that the procedures work properly and improve the experience of using online applications.

This document provides information about the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site and how to manage them.

Definitions

Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored and then transmitted back to the same sites the next visit. The cookies of the so-called “third parties” are, instead, set by a different website from the one that the user is visiting. This is because on each site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the site visited.

Types of cookies

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, several categories can be distinguished:

Technical cookies. Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to the provider of an information company service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service” (see Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website; cookie analytics, assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate, about the number of users and how they visit the site itself; feature cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria in order to improve the service rendered to the same. For the installation of such cookies, the prior consent of the users is not required, while the obligation to give the information under art remains firm. 13 of the Code, which the site manager, if he uses only those devices, will be able to provide in the manner he deems most suitable.

Cookie analytics

Webtrends

For the sole purpose of monitoring and improving the performance of the site, we use a market product of statistical analysis for the detection of access to the site. It may resort to the use of cookies, permanent and not, in order to collect statistical information and about the “unique visitors” of the site. Cookies, defined as “Unique Visitor Cookies”, contain an alphanumeric code that identifies the navigation computers, but without any collection of personal data.

Google Analytics

The site also includes components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Such cookies are used only for the purpose of monitoring and improving the performance of the site. For more information, please refer to the link below:

The user can selectively disable the Google Analytics action by installing the google-provided opt-out component on their browser. To disable the Google Analytics action, please refer to the link below:

Cookie duration

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is run. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are also available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are said to be persistent and their duration is set by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases a deadline is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.

Managing cookies

The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies using the settings of their browser. Warning: Full or partial disabling of technical cookies may compromise the optimal use of the site. Disabling “third-party” cookies does not in any way affect navigability. The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. In addition, browsers allow you to define different settings for “owner” and “third-party” cookies. As an example, in Firefox, through>the>menu Tools- Options- Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept the different types of cookies and proceed with their removal. On the internet you can easily find the documentation on how to set the rules for managing cookies for your browser, for example you can list some addresses related to the main browsers.
